Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 March, 2010 : - - Bondi Beach, NSW Australia -- Bondi Beach, once regarded as possibly Australia’s most iconic surf beach had not seen an ASP surf event for 22 years until this weekend’s Boost Mobile Surf Sho – With Kelly Slater Mick Fanning and even boxing champion Danny Green there to perform – around 15 000 people turned up showing their support at having a high quality surf  event in Sydney.

Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark commented on the crowd saying, “Fantastic to have a big surf event here at Bondi – the crowds here today indicate how important it is to run an international surf event in Australia’s biggest city that not only produces outstanding world professional surfers but also has an abundance of excellent surf beaches”
